Together we can make a difference.  A wise man wrote...

"Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:

If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?

Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

We believe that each of us can make a difference and that together we can put an end to Human Trafficking.  In April 2010 we will be asking people everywhere to make a difference by increasing awareness and raising funds to help victims and those at high risk of Human Trafficking.  People will be asked to form groups.  Groups will be given between $500 and $1000 to invest in activities that increase awareness and raise addition funds. 

Three years ago, in Compassion in Action 1: More than Words, 73 groups came together and were given $50,000 to invest in increasing awareness and raising funds to help victims of HIV/AIDS and Extreme Poverty.  Groups held dinner parties, garage sales, a use book sale, a car show, a letter writing campaign and a magic show to name a few of the events.  Altogether over half a million dollars was raised to fight HIV/AIDS and Exreme Poverty. 

In April another $50,000 will be given away to groups of children, youth and adults to increase awarenes and raise additional funds.  Proceeds from the fundraising efforts will be used to help victims and those at high risk of human trafficking in the Ukraine, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Costa Rica and in Canada. 

You can be a part by forming your own group or joining another group.
