RockPointe Church is raising money for New Hope Schools in Cambodia. This school works with Vietnamese refugees. We are hoping that instead of being child slaves, these kids will be able to go to school and get a good job when they are grown-ups.
At Kids Church we've already learned that there are children all over the world who are sold as slaves. The grown-ups at our church are trying to do something to help through a program called "Compassion in Action: Stop the Traffic". But the kids like to call it "Mission Possible!".
Lots of people don't know that these kids need help. One way that YOU can help is to tell others about it. You can invite your friends to "Insect Invasion" where you can see lots of REAL insects and learn about how amazing they are. The teachers will also talk about the kids in Cambodia and what we can do to help them. It will be fun and helping others at the same time!
To donate online type in the amount under the 'donate' box on the left hand side of this page, then under campaign choose 'Insect Invasion'. You can pay by credit card or paypal. If you would like to donate by cheque, contact Karen Hartman at (403) 851-0011 ext 225. |

'Stop The Traffic' T-shirts are now available for yourself or your group! Wear them to church, raise awareness with friends and family or wear them to the Compassion in Action events! Proceeds go to 'Stop the Traffic'.
